Some goodies for sale soon!

Hey guys/gals!

I've been working real hard searching for all those timepieces that you've asked me to source so i apologize for the lack of posts. In the process of the requests i've come across some pieces that will be up for sale soon so be sure and check back with me. Keep the requests coming as their is no budget too large or small!

In fact i just picked up a piece on a whim for less than $50 which has now become one of my faves. The Casio AMW-320B blends that old school paramilitary look with the heftiness and size of today's larger style. This baby really has some wrist presence and looks like a dead ringer for the Chronosport UDT(Underwater Demoliyion Team) that was used by the Navy Seals in the 1980's.

Wristshot: 1990 Marathon Gallet and Co. Navigator

It's here!!

What a beautiful piece. In my previous post i mentioned that i disliked the newer all black versions made of composite materials because it lacked the heft. Well......problem solved!! Substantial difference in overall quality and wrist presence. Absolutely love the bead blasted case and the bezel which moves in both directions. The radiation logo and no date signifies that this watch means business. Keep in mind that this is not the reissue version(as indicated by the fatter crown) but the original version.

Below pics are featured on my 7.25-7.5" wrist with the military spec strap that was supplied with the watches.

Incoming: Gallet & Co. Marathon Navigator,USAF issue

I can't even remember how long it has been since i set my eyes on one of these bad-boys! About two years ago i got my hands on one of the newer versions with the plastic/fiber case through a trade for my all black Suunto Core.....and to be honest it was nice at first. Well then i decided to sell it off as it never really spoke to me. I think the one thing that i didn't like was how "cheap" it felt. When i say cheap i really mean to say unsubstantial. The lack of weight on the wrist really turned me off for some odd reason and to be fair i went from a suunto core to a marathon navigator. when you put the two side by side it looks like david and goliath.

That was in the past and i have been wearing smaller watches for quite some time now. So to sum up i'm looking forward to getting this guy and strapping some history to my wrist.

History: Issued to the US Airforce as well as the Canadian Airforce, these timepieces had quartz movements contained in a stainless steel case, with an easy to read second time zone bezel (with tritium coated hands) and screw down crown.

Customized Seiko Sumo JDM SBDC001

Hey folks,
I have here a custom seiko sumo that has been professionally beadblasted and has the black date wheel mod. A stunning combo that really makes the watch stand out as a tool diver and gives it that military look. Open to ideas for a trade but i've had my eye on the Marathon JSAR for a while. Watch comes mounted on a Hirsch curved end leather. Box/Papers and bracelet were lost.....trust me i know!

All work was professionally done including the beadblasting and date wheel mod. Unfortunately i don't know if the piece has been pressure tested but i can attest that it has not seen any water from myself. I live in Chicago for god sakes and it gets too damn cold here!

As you know the sumo line features the 6R15 movement which i will attest runs extremely accurate. Will price this at SOLD with the trade value a bit more.
