Seiko "Arnie" H558 & H601
Now I know your thinking why in the hell am I posting something so mundane as a Seiko?
Has he lost his mind and given up on all mechanical movements?
Has he joined an elite team of special forces and thus has resorted to digital watches so his cover won't be blown from the loudness of the mechanical timepieces?
I like that last one.
No, I'm not crazy or part of a military squad. I just like watches that aren't of the norm.
The Seiko H558 & H601 is one of those watches that fits that bill precisely.
Now for most of you out there you know of the role that Seiko has played in the lives of divers and the like since the 60's. Cornering the market on affordable yet reliable timepieces that withstand the beatings of your day to day practice whether you're a construction worker or a deep sea diver. They are simply used and seen everywhere. I myself have a soft spot for the 60-70's cushion cased divers that they produced. The larger cases always appeal to me and consequently fit the bill nicely. But enough about those. Let's see the Seiko that Arnold Schwarzenegger owns and has been spotted in 7 of his blockbuster films!
info and first pic taken from Koleksi Seiko Diver:
H558 was the first diver's watch in the world which featured a digital alarm chronograph display. It was used by a team comprised of members from Japan, China, and Nepal when they climbed Mt. Everest in 1988.
